My name is Rachael Johnson and I am a lover of art. Photography is just one avenue of how I express my love for creating. I also enjoy watercolor, sketching, calligraphy, and poetry. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be an artist. I was at the tender age of 8 when I declared to my dad that I wanted to be like Van Gogh (I was obsessed with "Starry Night") and he jokingly responded that I would have to be dead to be famous... Fast forward to the present-day; I am doing what I love and feeling more alive than ever.

Lovely Day Fleur is about loving people and putting my love for creating in every project I do. I believe in working hard to create something original, inspiring, and heart felt. My desire for you is to take away a part of the loveliness of Lovely Day Fleur with you in each project we do together, wether it be your beautiful wedding day or a brand new piece of artwork.

For those of you who are curious as to what that name means: Lovely Day Flower. Because I believe in beauty that is found in each and every day. Because I believe in the beauty of flowers and the joy they create.

Minnesota is where I call home. I am super laid back. I adore rainy days more than I do sunny days, although I find bliss in those too. I am inspired by forgotten roads, foggy days, the movement of watercolor, shades of blue, my crazy talented musician husband (who also happens to be my favorite human on the planet). True love really is the most extraordinary thing we could ever experience.
